Carl Stephen Chirwa
HEC Paris Executive Leadership Diploma, FCCA, ACCA,
Bsc Hons Applied Accountancy.
Carl is a seasoned Pan African Banker with over 25 years of experience across 25 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. His expertise includes investment banking, cross border lending, trade finance and corporate finance. Prior to founding Ashcroft & Gray Group, he served as the Head of International Banking at Bank One Ltd in Mauritius.
He held senior executive positions at global banks like CITI Bank N.A and Standard Chartered Bank Plc, and gained valuable experience in development finance at the Trade & Development Bank (TDB) in Kenya. He also has regional banking experience with Stanbic Bank Ltd (Zimbabwe) and NBS Bank Ltd (Malawi).
Carl holds an Executive Leadership Diploma from HEC Paris and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Applied Accountancy from Oxford Brookes University. He is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (A.C.C.A).

Lucy Stambile Kachale
CPA, FCCA, Bsc Hons Applied Accountancy.
Lucy Stambile Kachale is the Chief Operating Officer overseeing daily operations, finance, and administration at the Firm. With a strong financial background, she is a Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Accountancy from Oxford Brookes University.
Lucy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Zimbabwe, Malawi, and the United Kingdom. She started her career as an Auditor at KPMG, gaining five years of experience. Throughout her 20-year career, she has excelled in accounting, audit, advisory services, fund management, and administration.
Notably, she held senior roles in Operations and Project Management in Malawi and Mauritius, and she currently serves as the Finance and Administration Manager at the Good Shop, a non-profit organization in Mauritius.

Cornelius T. Makari
CFA, CAIA
Cornelius is a highly experienced investor specializing in private and public equity, fixed income investments across diverse industries in South Africa and the Rest of Africa.
With over 25 years of industry expertise, he excels in asset allocation, assessing investment value and risk, boasting a high recommendation success rate. Based in Johannesburg, he is an authorized investment advisor and discretionary investment manager.
Cornelius began his career at HSBC Securities and later served as a Senior Investment Analyst for Africa Opportunity Fund, a listed Pan Africa Hedge Fund on the London Stock Exchange.
He also achieved exceptional performance as a Fund Manager at Zimnat Asset Management for 5 years.

Associate Director
Wayne Frank
B.Com, PDM Business Administration
Wayne has spent the last 20 years working in the banking sector focusing mainly on client development in various term debt lending markets supporting Private Equity Sponsors with Leveraged Finance bank debt while living in London (8 years) and then in South Africa (11 years) placing corporate bonds and loans with institutional investors and other banks while working in the Distribution and Syndication team at Nedbank CIB.
In May 2022 Wayne moved to Mauritius to join Bank One in their International Banking Division as the Head of Structured Solutions – a term debt lending business focused on structuring loans to corporates operating across Sub Saharan Africa.
Wayne holds a B.Com degree (graduated Wits University 2000) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management - PDM Business Administration – (graduated Wits Business School 2001). Wayne has also completed the Emerging Leaders Program at London Business School in 2008.
